The special Kids' Day edition of the Buffalo News was sold for only $1.00 on February 29, 2000. Proceeds benefit the 2000 Variety Club Telethon.

Cash Raffle
The Variety Club of Buffalo's Satellite division sold tickets to win up to $300. First prize winner received $300, second place got $100, and the third prize was $50. The drawing was held on Friday, March 3, 2000, at the Satellite Community Dinner.
